BankVic partners with the The Australasian Council of Women and Policing (ACWAP)’s Victorian Division, to support a scholarship for two members of Victoria Police to receive 12 months of professional development opportunities each year.
The winners for 2024 were announced in October, and both attended an ACWAP professional development seminar in Brisbane late last year. Reporting on the opportunity, the winners shared how it benefited their development and careers:
“We were inspired by the personal stories highlighting the importance of stepping out of your comfort zone, overcoming challenges without compromising integrity and finding strength through adversity. We were provided with valuable insights into resilience, the importance of mentorship, networking and the unique challenges of balancing work and family life.
I thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie and left feeling connected and encouraged.”
