Financial pressure doesn't always arrive as a major crisis.  Sometimes it starts with smaller changes. Increasing household costs, an unexpected expense, a change in income, or simply feeling that there isn't quite as much room in the budget as there used to be. The difficult part is often knowing what to do next.

RBA interest rate increase, September 2026

On 29 September 2026, the Reserve Bank of Australia announced an increase to the official cash rate from 4.35% to 4.60% - an increase of 0.25%.
