BankVic App FAQs
Upgrading to the BankVic app
If your app automatically updated from the previous version, you will be able to log using your existing details. If using biometrics (such as TouchID or FaceID) you will now also be prompted to set a 6 digit PIN as a backup.
If you are re-registering, or using a BankVic App for the first time you will need to key in your member number and your internet banking password to start using the app.
Yes, you can use your existing details. However, when you next change your PIN, the new PIN will need to be 6 digits. The PIN should not be the same as your phone PIN.
It is now a requirement with the new App to have a fallback PIN. The PIN will be 6 digits and should not be the same as your phone PIN. This is so that you will be able to access the app if your biometrics don't work, such as when you are wearing a face mask or gloves.
Your member number is also the number you use to login to Internet Banking. You can find your member number on the welcome email you received when you first joined BankVic, or on your eStatement.
If you're having trouble finding your member number, please contact us on 13 63 73
The BankVic app is compatible with recent model Apple and Android phones but may not be compatible on older devices or software. If you are having difficulty installing the new app, please update your phone software to the latest version.
In the event that the phone is not compatible, you can still use Internet Banking from your phone.
For tablets, it is recommended that you use Internet Banking, which has recently been improved.
Unfortunately, with the change to technology, this information is not carried over to the new app and will need to be reset.
